Huay Keaw Waterfall-Wang Bua Ban Viewpoint

 

This is a short trail of about 1 mile round trip and a nice stop off Route 1004 when going to or coming from Wat Doi Suthep.  From the small parking lot, walk to the back of the lot and you will see a large sign for Huay Keaw Waterfall.  The first part is a paved path.  After a short distance the trail splits to cross a bridge.  To the right you will see the waterfall from this point.  A trail ascends the left side of the stream along a steep section of trail to a view point of Chiang Mai.  Continue up the trail to the top where you reach Wang Bua Ban viewpoint.  This is a nice area for a picnic or meditating along the upper stream of the waterfall.
