The trail head is located just before you reach the Jedediah Smith visitor center.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Short and seldom hiked, it is easy to follow but the trail is not well maintained.\u00a0 Many downed trees across trail that may have been removed by now.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

    The Wellman Loop Trail is 1.5 miles long and is only 500 meters from the Jed Smith visitor center. The parking area for the trail head is across the street. There is a short walk to the loop. I thought this beginning part was the highlight of the hike. You walk through patches of clover on each side of the trail and it’s a nice section of old growth Redwoods.<\/h4>\n
