Lake Trail. It&#8217;s a nice trail following the Sol Duc River and eventually ascends along side a gorge before reaching the Sol Duc Falls. There are some good view points of the gorge along the way and several small side waterfalls feeding the Sol Duc River. However, many of these views are obstructed by the forest.<\/p>\n<p>This trail is seldom traveled because you can simply drive to the Sol Duc Trail head and cut out two mile (4 miles if your doing this round trip), from your hike.<\/p>\n<p>Equipment: Sturdy hiking shoes and rain jacket, depending on weather.
