BARCLAY LAKE
Mt. Baker-Snowqualmie N.F.

Barclay Lake is a very popular destination on weekends and for camping.  Barclay Lake was carved out when the boundary of the Wild Sky Wilderness section of Mt. Baker-Snowqualmie National Forest was developed.  This was because Barclay Lake is very popular with large groups so permit or group size restrictions would not apply.

From the parking area, follow the trail along the Barclay Creek for 1.2 miles.  At that point the trail crosses the creek on a single log bridge with a rail.  This can be slippery when wet.  After another .5 mile you reach the north shore of Barclay Lake.  The trail continues along the lake passing several very nice campsite.  Great views of Baring Mountain shadow over the lake and make for a great reflection in the water.

When you reach the end of the lake, return the way you came back to the parking lot.
