The Murphy Overlook trail is located in Island in the Sky district and starts at the same trailhead for the Murphy Trail that leads down to the White Rim Road.

The Overlook trail is a total of 3 miles out and back. After a short distance from the trail head, the Murphy trail splits off to the left and the Overlook trail continues on the right. The split is clearly posted.

The trail is easy and relatively flat. Spend some time checking out the different view points. There doesn’t appear to be one specific viewpoint but many along the rim overlooking the canyon. When done exploring, return the way you came.
