Bring your own firewood.  Do not collect wood from the area.  There is portable toilets in strategic locations.

Willow Springs road is only about 11 miles from the center of Moab.  There is many dispersed campsites available.  Most can be accessed by car but some of the best may require a high clearance vehicle.  The area is relatively flat and sandy.  Sites that are slightly higher will give good but distant views of the La Sal Mountains.  Many but not all sites have fire rings.  Follow Leave No Trace protocols.  Do not create a fire ring unless one already exists.  There is no wood available here for camp fires so be sure to buy some in Moab.

I like this location because of it’s easy access.  Also, I’ve had less problems here with noisy campers than in national park campsites.  Maybe I have just been lucky.
