Hike Info:

Trail is easy to follow and not very difficult.  Typically done as part of a loop hike with several other trails.

The Deadman’s Pass Trail starts at the end on Boynton Canyon Rd and travels for 1.3 miles. It is often used as a connector trail to link up the Mescal Trail and the Long Canyon Trail. It also gives access to the Boynton Canyon Trail if you are parked on Long Canyon road.  The trail is easy with hardly any rocks. It does not have many views at all. When traveling from Boynton Canyon to Long Canyon, there is a slight and steady uphill grade but still easy to hike. This trail also gives access to a social trail that allows you to ascend to the top of Mescal Mesa.
