The Rongbuk Kora is a well worn trail around the monastery. It offers amazing views of the monastery and Mount Everest. Facing the entrance of Rongbuk, turn left and ascend the hill to a small structure. From this structure you can look back and have a good view of the monastery and Everest. Work your way up the hill turning right and follow a low stone wall. Once on top, turn right and the trail levels out nicely with great views the entire way. The Kora turns right as it descends the hill to a stone staircase at the end. Pass the line of prayer wheel to a large stupa and the courtyard where you started.
