Hike Info:

Very steep trail over loose rock.  Use caution.

Little Sugarloaf is a small but prominent mountain on the edge of Sedona.  There is a short but very steep summit trail which can be gained from the intersection of the Lower Chimney Rock Trail and the Upper Chimney Rock Trail.  There is a wood sign marking the way however, this trail is not on maps and not maintained by the park service.  Follow the path of least resistance.  The trail is obvious but there are several of them which is more notable on descent.

The summit is flat slick rock with a 360 degree open view.  You can see all of Sedona and it is also a great place to watch the sunset. I hiked to the summit as part of a loop hike of Chimney Rock.  Please see the route below.
