This trail starts from the Rainy Pass Trail head on route 20. There is plenty of parking available. The trail is relatively flat and wheelchair accessible. It is an enjoyable stroll through the forest. At the end of the trail you are treated to a crystal clear alpine lake surrounded by mountains. Very picturesque.
The trail is one mile long. There is a platform viewing area and the water is crystal clear. To the right of the observation deck is Frisco Mountain over looking the lake. There is a very nice cascading waterfall running down from the glacier into the lake. I arrived in late afternoon. For better photos of Frisco Mountain and the waterfall, walk back here in the morning.
